Drug Addiction Treatment FAQs

Drug addiction treatment aims to help addicted individuals stop compulsive drug seeking and use. Treatment is very patient-centric and can take place in a variety of settings,  different forms, and even for different lengths of time.

We are a drug rehab center in Brea, California. Take a virtual tour of our facilities here.

We have different types of programs at our addiction treatment center in Brea California
Have a look below:

  • Intensive Treatment Program: Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a year-long program divided into three 8-week treatment stages and 6 months of aftercare. Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are treatment programs used to address addictions, depression, eating disorders, or other dependencies that do not require detoxification or round-the-clock supervision.

  • Inpatient Treatment Program: Inpatient recovery programs, also known as residential treatment, require patients to check themselves into a controlled environment to overcome their addictions. Patients stay at a clinic with 24-hour medical and emotional support.

  • Outpatient Treatment Programs: Grant Me the Courage Recovery has created a unique and individualized Outpatient Curriculum differentiating and addressing the specific needs of the clients they serve. This curriculum differs from the ordinary Intensive Outpatient Curriculum and specializes in second stage recovery-focused assistance.

  • Sober Living: If you or a loved one is trying to stop drinking or using drugs, the sober living program may be an option for you. Sober living is a great option for people to alleviate many of the worries they have about entering back into everyday life.

We are a co-ed facility, but housing does separate male and female guests.

The 12-step model, used by Alcoholics Anonymous and other recovery programs, is famous because it works, and that’s why we use it. No matter the dependency, the 12-step formula offers participants empowerment and forgiveness. It includes a “surrender” to your addiction – you are powerless to defeat it alone, but it can be beaten.

The 12-Step model provides support, encouragement, and accountability for people who genuinely want to overcome their addiction.

If a family member wants to visit our drug rehab center in Brea California, they need to have prior communication with the therapist. However, we have therapy sessions in our sober living programs that allow family members to come to the center and participate in counseling sessions.

You can bring 1-2 weeks of season-appropriate clothes that include sleepwear, modest swimwear, pants, etc. Double-check with the intake staff to make sure that you pack the right and appropriate clothing for your addiction treatment.

Personal computers and cell phones are typically not permitted during treatment. However, as per your therapist’s instructions, you will coordinate the use of electronic equipment during the stay if needed. We collect your mobile phones upon your arrival at the rehab center and return them upon discharge.

We closely review your ongoing medication upon your arrival at the rehab center. We permit medications if deemed necessary. Typically, no narcotic medications opened pill or vitamin bottles or any medications containing alcohol will be allowed at drug addiction treatment centers.

Outpatient rehab is when someone seeking treatment for a drug or alcohol addiction problem attends treatment from home, continue to work or attend school and fulfill other personal obligations.

The primary distinction between inpatient and outpatient programs is that people live at treatment centers, with 24-hour medical and emotional support. People in outpatient treatment continue living at home, continue to work or attend school and fulfill other personal obligations. Outpatient recovery programs usually require 10 to 12 hours a week spent visiting a local treatment center.

Outpatient treatment allows people with substance use disorders to maintain a sense of regularizing daily responsibilities. One of the big benefits is the ability to retain work/school while going through outpatient treatment. Some of these programs schedule their services in evening hours (10 to 12 hours a week), for instance.

Outpatient treatment is generally more affordable than residential treatment. This treatment allows participants to maintain important social and family connections.
